Four years ago, it started as an event to celebrate and honor those who came before us; the wrestlers, managers, announcers, referees, road agents, promoters, the leagues that paved the way and built the foundation upon which the wrestling world stands today.
Four years... and now on our Seventh Tradition, PVW now has a little tradition of its own. We bring you TRADITION VII ... LIVE, at the history-rich Scotiabank Saddledome, Calgary, Alberta, Canada... only a few months before Shattered Dreams II!
On Heatwave, the MERCENARY won a hard fought, bloody brawl over HEATH DAWSON... with some help from JESSICA "FATALITY" MARSHALL. PVW officials, who have promised a night of clean and decisive matches at TRADITION VII, were quick to book a rematch between the two and raise the stakes! Fatality DEMANDED that if Dawson lost again, that she have control of Heath's contract for ninety days. PVW officials agreed, but added a twist: If the Mercenary LOSES, Fatality's contract will be TERMINATED! At Tradition, it's MERCENARY VS. HEATH DAWSON, CONTRACT VERSUS CONTRACT!
"ROYAL" RANDALL VERMEER and "BROTHER GRIMM" ALEXANDER KRUGER, collectively known as LINEAGE, bought their way into the PVW and on the night they did, they cost GOLD RUSH, JOHNATHAN REGNIGH and BEAU WILSON, their original scheduled debut match. Since then the two teams have traded barbs until last Shockwave, when LINEAGE joined UNCLE FRANK in assaulting Gold Rush. Uncle Frank believes Johnathan Regnigh is plotting with his former Circle of Death partner, MARCUS MANSON, to steal the PVW Television Championship away from him. At Tradition VII LINEAGE and UNCLE FRANK will step into the ring with GOLD RUSH and MARCUS MANSON!
In a battle of veterans, TRACY HUDSON and THE BIZ will square off to settle the score from last Heatwave. A win here could be a big launching pad as both men fight to receive a shot at a PVW title. The biggest question surrounding this match, will the Biz show up as Dragon Kid?
The resurgence of the PVW tag team division continues at Tradition VII as four teams set into the ring for a FATAL FOUR WAY match; first pinfall or submission wins. The odd duo of COW and CHICKEN have had a culture shock in the PVW as they adjust to the lack of violence they've been accustomed to in other pastures they have have wrestled in. Speaking of violence, the PVW finally witnessed VIOLENCE and BEAST, THE SONS OF ANARCHY, in action on the last edition of Shockwave, where the two Brits used their power to defeat Alex Wallace's team of LEGACY. Now these two teams will once again be standing in the same ring but what mental state will Legacy be in after Sterling von Braun fired Alex Wallace? To add to the intrigue, THE HEAT will be the fourth team in the match! The HEAT have taken a night off from the HIT II to show the PVW newcomers what they are made of. Four very different teams and there can only be one winner!
A man who wrestled on the very first Tradition, Christopher Michaelson, will be on hand to announce MAX WEINRIB and SALIH MUBARAK's opponents at SHATTERED DREAMS. After THE BERSERKERS defeated LIVESTOCK ZAPPA and HEATH DAWSON on Heatwave, rumors are that Michaelson will be naming THE BERSERKERS as number one contenders. While the current ASLL Tag Team Champions will be in Mexico, MAX and SAL will be in attendence and one has to assume they will have some words for their Shattered Dreams opponents.
AsH was the first man to offer PERRY FONTANA an olive branch, so when DEREK WEAVER sent the Cruiserweight Icon out of the PVW on a stretcher, the Everlasting One took it personal. From the events that unfolded at Boiling Point II to the violent confrontation between the two on the last Heatwave, hostilities have been steadily escalating. One man fighting for HOPE, the other in AsH's name, "the Pariah" Derek Weaver and Perry "le Phenix" Fontana finally square off in a PVW ring.
DANNY DANIELS and CHANCE HOLIDAY have been at odds since Boiling Point II. They now have a chance to square off with a pair of partners in SIX MAN ACTION ... On Heatwave, we saw the team of DANNY DANIELS, TALION and KEVIN QUARTERMANN come together. The unlikely pairing will square off against CHANCE HOLIDAY, WHISPER, and NEVERMIND. Each man has their own selfish agenda, but for one night, can they work together to have their hands raised high?
The MYSTERY has been solved ... or has it? On Tradition VII, a pair of FORMER PVW World Champions are set to square off as BRIAN YOUNG makes his big return to the PVW ring. He is set to take on ROB COLE in what could be the PVW original's last match ever inside the PVW ring. Has Brian Young finally succeeded where many men have failed? Will the One ... put the final nail in the Monster Underneath the Bed's coffin?
Speaking of former PVW World Champions, CHASE WILLIAMS has been pushing hard to return to the PVW ... the place he calls "home". The Conceited Bastard has been invited to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where the PVW will revisit their last discussion. Will the PVW Warrior, LARRY GIONET have anything to say to the former champion?
At Shattered Dreams, numbers will be the topic of the night ... Thirty men will be involved in the first ever PVW Rumble! SINISTER has been rallying the locker room together under one banner ... to stand up against HOPE ... but wrestling's devil has other ideas. THE SPECTRE has been tormenting Big Daddy Sin and Senor Cloak Dos for weeks, attacking the luchadore in his sick quest to make him worthy of facing HOPE. Now Sinister puts it on the line, facing the goth grappler in a Rules of REBIRTH match with SENOR CLOAK DOS himself acting as the special guest referee. Win and Spectre leaves Senor Cloak Dos alone. Lose and not only does Spectre get free run at Sinister's protege, but the loser will also enter the Rumble in the position #1!
The Shattered Dreams PVW WORLD TITLE MATCH has been announced after JOHNNY DETSON turned in his 2011 CALLED SHOT to challenge GIBSON HAYES. The papers have been drawn ... PVW Head of Booking committee PRESTON WINFIELD will be on hand as the two men will sign the contract and make the MAIN EVENT official!
MAJOR DAMAGE, otherwise known to the wrestling world as another one of WILLIAM CRAVEN'S personalities, has returned on Heatwave. Craven isn't scheduled to compete, but the green skinned veteran has a well documented knack for making his presence felt... Will that tradition continue in Calgary?
SEVEN superstars will compete in the DOUBLE TITLE, DOUBLE JEOPARDY MAIN EVENT! Hung over the ring from the ceiling, the PVE American Championship title will only be reached by climbing up a ladder. When the title is unhooked and we have our PVW American Champion, the man with the final decision by pinfall or submission will be the PVW Television Champion. Champions and HOPE representatives, HERSCHER VON DONKERHARDT and UNCLE FRANK will be involved defending their titles ... The Challengers; CHRIS HARTT, ERICH SEIGER, CHRISTOPHER BLACK, ADRIAN FREEMAN, and SUPREME WRIGHT! Dozens of questions surround the historic match ... How will wrestling earlier in the night affect Uncle Frank? Can Supreme Wright overcome the handicap of avoiding Adrian Freeman? Can either of the two champions retain their titles in stipulations like this? It's been rumored that Todd Johnstone has been protesting this match, but we have been told that the match WILL happen! Who will walk out the PVW American and PVW Television Champions?
